The Twenty-first Sunday after Trinity
Mass Cancelled for Sunday, 9 October!
Dear friends,
In view of the approaching hurricane and anticipated flooding, and having consulted with Fr. Miles, I am cancelling Corpus Christi's Mass for this Sunday, 9 October. Sacred Heart's Mass is also cancelled. You are encouraged to attend Mass at a nearby Catholic parish if you are able safely to do so. If for good reason that is not possible, you are dispensed from your Mass obligation for this Sunday. For your devotions, the Collect and Lessons for this Sunday are here.
Please be safe.
God bless you,
Fr Allen

The Fifteenth Sunday after Trinity
Great multitudes accompanied Jesus, and he turned and said to them, “If any one comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me, cannot be my disciple. For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build, and was not able to finish.’"
